Fried Rice, the Rhys Ford way.

I adore Rhys Ford.  Her books are fabulous, she is always posting awesome food pics, reviews, blog tours and lovely artistic photos of men and she is one of the sweetest people I know.  When I saw a post for her fried rice recipe, I thought I would try it. Some day.  It requires patience and no stirring (which I tend to want to do).  Tonight I decided to take the plunge.  I had the basic ingredients, plus I decided to add with shrimp, pineapple, mushrooms and carrots.  I seasoned it with salt, pepper, garlic and cooked it in coconut oil.

It turned out fantastic.  We had five people over for dinner and there are no leftovers. None. Pouts.

But now I have earned my Rhys Ford Fried Rice Master badge.  So I know I can make more.  See:

Here are some photos I snapped while cooking.  Food photography on the fly is not something I have tried before.  lol

While you are there getting the recipe, look around, check out her books.  I am currently listening to Black Dog Blues, narrated by Greg Tremblay.  It is fantastic.

Happy Reading and cooking,
